Mark C. Meyer is a founding partner of Cunningham Meyer & Vedrine. His practice focuses on defending physicians, health professionals, hospitals, and healthcare companies in a variety of high-stakes medical malpractice cases and in professional licensing issues.

Over the course of his career he has successfully defended healthcare institutions, organizations and practitioners against a variety of tort claims in bench and jury trials in state and federal courts.

Mark began his career at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, giving him unique insight into physician licensure, credentialing and disciplinary issues. He works closely with clients to understand how they envision their practice following disciplinary issues and helps them navigate a path to achieving those outcomes.

He has successfully represented physicians, nurses, psychologists and other license holders in disciplinary matters, including complex cases in formal administrative hearings.

Mark also represents large hospitals and multi-specialty clinics, particularly on risk management, credentialing, and physician employment issues in Illinois, including in Northern Illinois.

He is regularly invited to speak to hospitals and healthcare facilities regarding risk management as well as nuanced issues such as best practices in developing appropriate consents, dealing with surrogate families, DCFS reporting and obligations regarding subpoenas.

Mark has been included in Leading Lawyers since 2006 and has been a faculty member in the DuPage County Bar Association Trial Advocacy Program.
