CMV Continues Growth and Adds 3 Associates in 2018

CMV is pleased to announce that Samuel B. Chae, K. Courtney Gustin and Monica J. Henderson have joined the firm’s Chicago office as associates in 2018.

Sam focuses his practice on medical malpractice and professional liability. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted to verdict more than 100 jury or bench trials. He earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2013.

Courtney’s practice focuses on insurance defense in areas of medical malpractice, federal civil rights defense, nursing neglect and toxic tort. She previously worked at a prominent insurance defense firm where she managed over 180 toxic tort and pharmaceutical cases from initial pleadings to trial or settlement. She earned her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 2016.

Monica focuses her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. She is a recent 2018 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, Monica served as an Associate Editor for the Seventh Circuit Review, and her student note was selected for publication by the review. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division.
