Mr. Larsen graduated from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in 1989 after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. From there he entered active duty with the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of basic training, Mr. Larsen attended the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island, graduating first in his class. He has received the American Bar Association Award of Professional Merit, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois, the Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Larsen currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He focuses his civilian legal practice on litigation defense, particularly medical malpractice defense and appeals.

In the medical malpractice realm, Mr. Larsen has defended cases involving a variety of issues, including birth trauma, failure to diagnose cancer, surgical errors, radiology, pathology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, etc. Mr. Larsen has handled appeals to multiple Appellate Courts and the Illinois Supreme Court on a myriad of issues. He also defends personal injury cases involving elevators and escalators, construction, auto and products liability. In 2010 Mr. Larsen was elected to the Board of Directors for DuPage County, IL, and is currently Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee for DuPage County. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way for the DuPage Area, and is now an honorary board member.
