Karina Shumyatskaya (shoom-yacht-sky-ah) is an associate at Cunningham, Meyer & Vedrine who focuses her practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers against medical malpractice claims.
While in law school, Karina served as captain of the Mock Trial Team. During her time on the team, Karina was named a regional champion of the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and a quarterfinalist in the CACJ National Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition. After graduation, she received membership in the Order of Barristers.
Karina is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers.
