Sara D. Varela is an associate attorney at Cunningham, Meyer & Vedrine’s Chicago office. She defends healthcare institutions, physicians, nurses, and clinical providers in medical-malpractice claims and complex civil litigation.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience, with a minor in Chemistry from Lake Forest College. She earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology at Rush University. While at Chicago Kent College of Law, Sara developed strong legal writing and research skills serving as an editor of the Intellectual Property Law Journal.
Sara began her legal career in intellectual property litigation before shifting her practice to medical-malpractice defense.
