Jennie O’Hara is an associate attorney at Cunningham, Meyer & Vedrine who focuses her practice on civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on defending hospitals, medical practitioners, and other healthcare providers against medical malpractice claims.
 
Throughout her career, Jennie has garnered experience in a wide array of legal specialties in both state and federal court, practicing in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the firm, Jennie worked in civil litigation here in Chicago representing public school districts throughout the state. Before that, Jennie worked for two years as a criminal defense attorney in Baltimore, Maryland, advocating on behalf of defendants in complex misdemeanor and felony matters, where she gained invaluable trial experience.
 
During law school, Jennie spent time as a law clerk at the United States Senate, the United States Sentencing Commission, and the Civil Division of the Department of Justice. She also served as the Executive Editor of the George Mason University Civil Rights Law Journal and was on the executive board of the Trial Advocacy Association.

Jennie is admitted to the Illinois State Bar, the General Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Maryland State Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Jennie has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in both Maryland and Illinois, a distinction based on peer nomination and independent evaluation of candidacy.
